A pair of recent golf cart crashes in The Villages are yet another unfortunate reminder of the risks that come with many local residents’ favorite way to travel.
A car driver was ticketed on a charge of reckless driving after a June 5 accident with a golf cart on Morse Boulevard, Villages-News reports. The car reportedly was making a turn onto Palo Alto Avenue when it collided with the cart.
The golf cart driver reportedly was sent to UF Health-The Villages Hospital.
The second crash came with much more serious consequences.
A golf cart driver suffered traumatic injuries in a June 6 accident with a vehicle near the postal station in the Village of Alhambra, according to Villages-News. The crash caused the golf cart to roll over.
