Two golf carts were involved in a collision near a popular Villages recreation center, sending one driver to a local hospital.
The crash occurred near the Bradenton Recreation Center, according to Villages-News. The driver of the first golf cart was traveling north on Anna Maria Avenue when she turned left onto Pinellas Place. She collided with a second cart, which was turning left on Anna Maria from Pinellas, local law enforcement officers told the paper.
The driver of the first cart was sent to University of Florida Health The Villages Hospital. She was also cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign, according to Villages-News.
It appears that the driver of the second cart, whose left side was struck, was not injured in the accident.
