Three people involved in a recent head-on golf cart accident in The Villages, fortunately, walked away without any serious injuries.
The collision occurred at a tunnel under County Road 466A near the Sumter Senior Living facility, according to Villages-News. The driver of a blue Atomic golf cart reportedly swung a wide turn and collided with a cart coming in his direction.
The Atomic driver was ticketed for careless driving, according to Villages-News. The driver and a passenger in the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, although they were not seriously injured.

The Villages Department of Safety has previously said that they respond to more than 80 golf cart accidents per year, more than two-thirds of which involve injuries.
